Sometimes in life
Things happen so softly
They unlock the heart
And we flow away...
To a place of joy
Beyond anything’s power
To capture and share
Through expression...
We’re usually taken
Unexpectedly
Into our deepest hope
For gentle connections...
Where compassion
Overwhelms understanding
And our souls see clearly
With sainted eyes...
In those moments
Life’s obstacles instantly fade
Toward a peaceful horizon
Bathed in empathy’s light...
Though never long lasting
In this reality
The glimpses remain
In memory’s vault...
Rosetta “stones”
From another dimension
Reminders of a better nature
And a map to love’s pathway...
And in these remembrances
Our humanity comes alive
Accepting without reservation
The embraces of all.
